If you really have such old EliteBook models which are still using legacy BIOS instead of UEFI system firmware, you should consider replacing them by a more recent model. HP engineers sometimes use correct distinguished terms, and sometimes confuse them. All my models are using UEFI system firmware instead of old legacy BIOS. And my ProBooks are not so old to still have some legacy BIOS. EliteBooks have more customized drivers than ProBooks. As far as system firmware updates are concerned, the need should be the same, and the experience should be similar. Simple answer is "if not broken do not fix".
